Unfortunately yes, like most things artificial grass requires maintenance although low. From time to time it is good practice to give your grass a stiff brush (not metal), this will keep the pile up and remove any debris which left over time will encourage weeds and moss to grow. Yes, it is great for pets as it won’t discolour or die like natural grass when they do their business. We do recommend a shorter grass as it is easier to clean, simply pick up the poo and give it a quick hose.

Given the chance, weeds will grow anywhere. Usually regular brushing keeps the weeds and moss under control. Simply pick up any weeds or use a weed killer. We recommend you try a small area first incase of any discolouration. During the installation process we lay a membrane under the artificial grass to prohibit any weeds growing to the surface.

During hot summers the grass can get hot. The grass we use from our suppliers is UV stable and will not fade. Usually hosing down the artificial grass will cool it down.

All of the artificial grass we use have different life expectancies depending on how much usage the grass has had and whether or not has been maintained throughout. Average life expectancy of a domestic garden is between 8 – 12 years.
